Zephaniah

The book of Zephaniah is all about how judgment day will come and the wicked will be punished according to God’s laws. If you are wicked you will not get into the kingdom of heaven unless you rebuke your sins and accept God into your heart.

The book of Zephaniah was written between 620 B.C. and 625 B.C.
Zephaniah 1: 2-3 “I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. “I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble when I cut off man from the face of the earth,” Declares the Lord.

Zephaniah belonged to the royal family, he prepares Judah for Josiah’s revival, and He warned Judah that God will judge sinful people.

One amazing thing is that his preaching may have helped to turn people to God during Josiah’s revival.

God did amazing things with amazing people, he let the devil test Job, he brought his people out of Egypt through Moses, with Zephaniah he told him to tell the world what will happen to the wicked and the evil so that they would “resort” to God and repent and would accept his ways.

Zephaniah was one of the amazing people God used in telling what he had to say, Zephaniah’s life isn’t recorded very well, but we know that he did what God told him, and may have saved hundreds even thousands of lives in the process, wouldn’t you want to get that opportunity?

Zephaniah prophesied that which would happen when the Lord’s judgment day comes, he wanted the world to know that they may have gotten away with what they did on earth, but God see’s all and he wants you to repent because he saw, and that means it happened.
